On Saturday night, November 17, 2012, Florida Grand Opera opens its 2012-2013 season with Giacomo Puccini’s La bohème, one of the world’s most beloved operas. Performed in the Ziff Ballet Opera House, at Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center, the production stars internationally-renowned American soprano Ailyn Pérez and Mexican tenor Arturo Chacón-Cruz. Conducted by Maestro Ramon Tebar and directed by David Gately, the performance will be followed by a Gala evening of dining and dancing on the magnificent Lynn Wolfson Stage.
Come join Mimì and Rodolfo for An Evening at the Café Momus, a well-known gathering place of bohemian life for artists and writers in 19th century Paris. Located in the famed Latin Quarter, the Café is the romantic setting for Act II in Puccini’s enduring musical masterpiece. Celebrate Florida Grand Opera’s 72nd year of presenting grand opera and enjoy the night life and joie de vivre reminiscent of this colorful era!
